iPhone in India, at last!

For those of you in India who have been reading about iPhone, and watching cool iPhone videos on youtube, there is good news, finally. All the rumors and statements by “reliable Apple sources” have proved true, and iPhone is coming to India. In a major deal with Apple, Vodafone has earned the rights to sell iPhone in ten markets, including India.

We don’t yet know precisely when the launch will be-- "later this year" is the current theory. Pricing? Earlier Speculation suggested that the phone will sell at around Rs. 28000.

For all the excitement and hype, how will the iPhone fare? The Blackberry never quite took off , but then it was maybe too focused for Indian consumers who'd rather have a business phone and a fun device all at once. We like our phones to be functional and cool. With its phenomenal multimedia capabilities, the iPhone is sure to be a huge success.
